Volunteers

Many individuals and companies help us for free. Lawyers, accountants, printers, translators and many more give a few hours of their time every now and again. This means we receive outstanding professional help yet there are no bills.

In part, this is why 100% of the money we receive buys nets.

We can always do with more help. If you are interested in volunteering some of your expertise and/or time, please let us know. Usually it is a few hours, sometimes it's a mini-project with a definite start and end. In all cases volunteer help fits what the volunteer can and wants to do.

The areas in which we could currently use help are listed below. If you'd like to help in a way not listed, do get in touch: you can probably still help!

Video editors

We receive video footage from each distribution and edit 10-30 mins down to 90-120 seconds to tell the story of the distribution. We send out the raw footage on DVD and need an edit in a standard digital format (.mov, .wmv etc). A video editing job is typically an hour.

Experience: This is best carried out by a (semi-)professional editor with access to professional software and equipment and with experience in editing.

Permission to use music

The videos we generate showing nets being distributed sometimes have a background music track added. We have identified some very good foot-tapping music and need someone to help track down the person who can say 'yes, you can use it for free.'

Experience: None. The right person here will be a keen, resourceful individual who can chase down the individual to contact for each of the ten tracks and ask permission for us to use the music.
