PricewaterhouseCoopers
PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) is proud to be associated with the World Swim For Malaria
project.
This is already an important initiative across the PwC world and we expect to have
many thousands of our partners and staff, together with their families and associates,
swimming to raise funds to buy the mosquito nets that are so urgently needed.
PwC does of course have a history of raising charitable funds on a global basis
in reaction to catastrophic events, but what is not so common is for the firm to
take a proactive global stance, together with so many other organisations and individuals,
to achieve one common cause. This demonstrates our belief and excitement in the
tremendous potential of this project.
Our decision to become part of World Swim Against Malaria is an addition to the
extensive voluntary work that many of our people already undertake. The pro bono
support that we are providing to the Foundation is a specific example of our immediate
commitment.
Malaria is a killer which targets many of the poorer areas of the world, and especially
children. Whilst longer-term research to finding a cure continues, there is an urgent
need to provide more immediate practical support to families in these areas.
PricewaterhouseCoopers is proud to be associated with the World Swim For Malaria
project.
