What is a Long-Lasting Insecticidal Net (LLIN)?

An LLIN is a mosquito net impregnated with insecticide.

The insecticide is cleverly bound within the fibres that make up the netting and is 'slow released' over a 4-5 year period. Hence 'long lasting'.

Kati district has some of the highest malaria transmission in Mali. Children under 5 are one of the most vulnerable groups. 2,500 children under 5 in the villages of Djoliba, Kirina and Koursale will receive nets.
