Lmao, this isn't the first time a Democrat won the Miami mayoral election in 30 years. They're "technically" non-partisan races and a guy who became the state party chair was mayor from 2001 to 2009. The last guy (a Republican) won in a blowout in both of the last elections. But this is still a huge increase in turnout from a regular Miami mayoral election!
