AGAINST MALARIA FOUNDATION
ONLINE PRIVACY POLICY

A. Against Malaria Foundation's commitment to your privacy

Against Malaria Foundation is committed to protecting the privacy of you and your organisation, while providing you with the opportunity to get involved in this global fundraising by registering with the website (the Website).

This policy (Online Privacy Policy) describes the ways in which we collect information from you when you use the Website, and what we may use it for.

If you have any questions or need further information about our privacy practices, please contact us at .

B. What data do we collect from you?

We collect data from you ("User Data") in various ways:

  • when you register on the Website;
  • by our use of "Cookies" (see section C below); and
  • when we request further information from you from time to time following on from registration.
Much of this data will inevitably comprise personal data about individuals, to which UK data protection laws apply. This Online Privacy Policy describes how Against Malaria Foundation fulfils its obligations under those data protection laws.

C. Use of "Cookies"

A cookie is a small chunk of information sent by our Web server to the web browser software which enables the Web server to collect information back from the Web browser. If you want to know more about Cookies please go to http://www.cookiecentral.com (an independent website).

We use Cookies to identify users when they visit the website.

Information generated by the use of Cookies is only disclosed to third parties in aggregate form so that no individual can be identified (see also D (iii) below).

D. Our use of User Data

We will use User Data we collect from you only in accordance with the following guidelines:

(i) To ensure your page is included in the "Participants" section of the Website

We will publish your name (in the list of global organisers), your group/organisation, the description you enter and your estimate of the number of people who will be involved.
(ii) To send you information about Against Malaria

From time to time, we, or third parties acting on our behalf, may wish to send you information about Against Malaria which we believe you may be interested in and we may use User Data for this purpose. If you decide now, or at any later time, that you do not wish to receive this information, please e-mail us at .
(iii) To provide the Website to you

We will use User Data to provide and improve the Website, to enable us to deal with any queries you have about the Website or Against Malaria Foundation and to notify you of any changes to the Website.
(iv) To include User Data in anonymous statistics

We may provide anonymous statistics about our users to reputable third parties, but these statistics will not enable any third party to identify individuals or individual organisations.
(v) Sharing with Against Malaria Foundation affiliates

We do not share your data with anyone else, except in the special circumstance below, and even in that circumstance it is with your express permission at the time of making a donation.

Where we have a fundraising partner raising funds for nets we will provide, at the time of donation, a clear option for the donor to opt-in or opt-out of having their contact details made available to the fundraising partner. Examples of fundraising partners are World Vision, Smile Gambia, Global Minimum, NetLife Africa. This allows that organisation to contact you if they choose and manage the potential suppression of your email address for them contacting you. This we consider reasonable as in these cases it is the organisation that is approaching its support base asking for donations to fund nets and we therefore consider those donors to be 'their donors'.

E. Transfer of User Data outside the European Economic Area

The Internet is a global environment. We may sometimes need to transfer User Data to locations outside the European Economic Area (EEA). By accepting this Online Privacy Policy you hereby consent to such transfers, provided that they are limited to the purposes set out in section D above.

F. Legal Requirements

You consent to the disclosure by us of confidential and/or personal data which is provided by you (i) to any governmental agency, court, regulator or law enforcement authority, on request; (ii) to our professional advisors and auditors, as reasonably required; (ii) to affiliates and other third parties providing services to, or acting for and on behalf of, Against Malaria Foundation, if reasonably required to comply with any law to which either we or they are subject. This may include providing your data to certain third parties for the purpose of carrying out anti-money laundering or similar investigations.

G. We do not sell or exploit User Data commercially through third parties

Against Malaria Foundation will not sell, rent, distribute or otherwise make User Data commercially available to any third party, except as described above, or except with your prior permission.

H. Changes to the Online Privacy Policy

This Online Privacy Policy may be amended by Against Malaria Foundation at any time. We will notify you through the Website of these changes.
