IVR = Independent Village Registration, where a random selection of villages are fully re-registered as part of our monitoring activities.
 
Monitoring costs are typically 5 to 10% of the costs of nets. This covers all phases of a distribution i.e. planning, logistics, registration, IVR, distribution and combined registration & distribution, as well as post-distribution monitoring that continues for two and a half years after the distribution of the nets. Note: the $ values for committed monitoring costs and committed net costs will not reflect this percentage as they only reflect costs still to be paid and not the total of all monitoring costs nor the total of all net costs to which they are related.

A = Approved - AMF has completed its due diligence that included but was not limited to: assessed the level of malaria burden in the areas that would receive nets (high); verified there is a real funding gap (there is); established it was possible to reach an agreement with partners in country that includes particular operational elements and specific data collection and management linked to accountability (it is); established there were independent monitoring partners in country with whom AMF could work (there are); satisfied with the feasibility of working in the country (yes).
P = Provisional - AMF's due diligence is close to complete and we expect to finalise shortly. While it is possible we will decline to take a distribution forward, we see it as unlikely and are now happy to include it in our planning and for funding, should funds allow.

Programmes - Agreements are being finalised with each country's Ministry of Health. This process is far advanced for the above programmes and we do not anticipate any issues. We do not publicly identify countries involved until an Agreement is signed.
Cost/net - US$2/net is the most frequent cost/net used in forecasting. Actual costs per net are typically between $1.50 and $2.50
