Global Minimum (www.gmin.org) is a student-run non-profit that undertakes highly effective mosquito net distributions. We have completed a distribution of 5,200 nets in the past. Thank you for your generous donations and please check out our website to read the reports.
In Sierra Leone, we work in the Malen chiefdom in the Pujehun district. The chiefdom is crisscrossed with swamps and rivers, and malaria is the biggest health problem in this otherwise serene farmer community.
We make sure nets reach their intended recipients by visiting each house that receives a net. We help people put them up - providing hooks and nails where necessary - and we have town meetings and soccer tournaments to publicize the distribution.
