International Midwife Assistance is a 501(c)(3) based out of Boulder, Colorado, that helps women and children globally. We work in areas with extraordinarily high maternal and infant mortality rates, creating programs in partnership with the local community that sustain long after we have left.
Since 2004, IMA has helped women and children in Afghanistan, Haiti and Uganda. Our current project is based in Soroti, Uganda, where we maintain a comprehensive health clinic that attends some of the poorest and most socially marginalized people in the Teso region.
