Hi!

This week, 'World Swim for Malaria' is aiming to get 1 million people swimming, to raise money for bed nets. More than this number of people die every year from malaria, and this figure could be reduced if more of the affected house-holds sleep under bed nets. Each net costs £3, so the more money we raise, the more lives are saved, simple as that!
I am swimming as part of a small lab team at LSHTM, and our aim is probably to swim as many lengths using different strokes, or comedy styles (such as the egg and spoon swim!) as we can in an hour.    more >>
