2008年5月に横浜市で開催される第4回アフリカ開発会議(TICAD IV)を受けて、アフリカへの関心が高まっていることを反映し、横浜国際プールを会場として、2008年4月5日(土)に有名水泳選手、アフリカ外交団などが泳ぎ、WSMへの参加と募金を呼びかけます。
