The Bracing Swim

Yup, on Friday 2nd Dec 2005 at 1.30pm the Serpentine was absolutely freezing, 3°C, but it was great fun! I will never complain again about that moment of 'cold' when you get in an indoor pool at 6.30am.

We were wearing wetsuits (so we are alive) but the hands and feet and face...boy do they get cold. The tactic of swimming hard (as if!) works for about 15 seconds. more >>
