Asalem Malekum! Greetings to my wealthy (relatively speaking, of course) American friends and family. As you all know, I am currently serving as a Peace Corps Agroforestry volunteer in a small village in the Tambacounda region in Senegal. But did you know that the number one death of children under 5 in Senegal is due to malaria? Recently, Peace Corps Volunteers have been given the opportunity to be part of a mosquito net distribution that would give us 100% coverage at our sites, one of the best ways to eliminate malaria deaths.    more >>
