We are the Lawrence University Pre-Medical Chapter of the American Medical Student Association. As a member of this group and a student from Ghana West-Africa, I am aware and have experienced the detrimental effects Malaria can have on people especially poor people who cannot afford to buy mosquito net or malarial drugs. Many people can barely afford to make ends meet, so millions of children end up dying for the simple reason that their parents or guardians cannot afford mosquito net or malarial drugs.
