LLINs

Pre-distribution information

Five specific locations in Kampla West, Pader, Arua, Apac and Kitgum districts will receive between 1,500-3,000 nets as part of a 10,000 net distribution.

Apac District: Aber (IDP camp), 2,000 LLINs

All are high risk, endemic malaria areas. Recipients will be pregnant women, children under 5 and people living with HIV/Aids (PLWHA) who are the must vulnerable to malaria attacks.

A pre-distribution survey will ascertain the exact location of beneficiaries. The nets will be distributed by Red Cross volunteers as part of their ongoing home-based care (HBC) activities. Community meetings will sensitise all to the importance and proper use of the nets.
