LLINs

The insecticide is cleverly bound within the fibres that make up the netting and is 'slow released' over a 4-5 year period. Hence 'long lasting'.

Khossanto - Village elders must be an integral part of net distribution to insure effective long term use of the LLINs.

Khossanto- Seven related distributions in the south east corner of Senegal around Kedougou have distributed 13,450 nets to achieve blanket coverage of the population in some 100 villages.

Post-distribution information

The distribution was completed successfully as planned.

Video and a post-distribution report will be added here shortly.

Follow-up surveys

These take place 6, 18, 30 and 42 months post-distribution. A survey of 50 households provides sample information on what proportion of nets continue to be used, if they are used correctly and the state of the nets.
