Baraka Community Partnerships and Exodus Travels are supporting villagers in the Chikumbi District of Zambia. Almost everyone in Chikumbi is affected by Malaria and the current excessive floods are causing even more deaths and illnesses than usual. They receive virtually no assistance in the fight against Malaria so our aim is to provide a net for each sleeping space village by village for the 10,500 people who live in this district.
We have already distributed 750 nets this year and are aiming to distribute another 6,000 before the start of the next Malaria season.
