More than 1 million people,primarily babies and young children,die each year from malaria,3000 per day, every day.The single most effective way to prevent people from being bitten by malaria carrying mosquitoes, is to use bed nets.
I,along with a few friends and colleagues from Aberdeen University hope to take a leisurely dip in the balmy waters of the North Sea (who thought we were supposed to be intelligent?)I am fortunate in that the only malaria parasites I am exposed to are at the other end of a microscope.    more >>
