A group of folks from Ames, Iowa are planning to swim on Saturday February 25th to raise funds for the World Swim for Malaria. Why are we doing this?

The equivalent of 7 jumbo jets full of children die every day from malaria (3,000 children per day, every day).

Malaria is preventable.

The single most effective way of preventing malaria is to have people in affected regions sleep under a US$5 long-lasting mosquito net.    more >>
