After living in Nigeria almost 6 years I know how dangerous malaria is; several of my friends have gotten it and one nearly died. Children shouldn't die because their parents don't have the resources or knowledge to protect them from malaria with $5 nets.

I'm not much of a swimmer as I grew up in northern Minnesota where I preferred water frozen for skating instead of swimming. I have done a couple of triathlons in the past though and I have started a training program with hopes to make it thru a half hour without getting rescued!
