POST-SWIM UPDATE!!
I did it! All the anxiety and fear that you all heard about in the build up to the race dissappeared as soon as I jumped off the pier. I moseyed over to the start area calmly and thought as long as I don't stop I'll be fine. I finished in about four hours which put me an hour behind the guy who won, not horrible, but hopefully next year will be better. It was a challenge and an adventure.    more >>
