On a more serious note, on 3 Dec 2003 I travelled home from Escravos with John H. (the HES rep) who didn't look too good.

He never made it to Christmas with his family because he died of malaria a few days later. No one in the States would listen to him, believe that he had it, or treat him for it until it was too late.    more >>
