Recurring donations

Whilst rapid progress can be made against malaria, sustained action and support are key to securing permanent malaria reduction. Recurring donations to AMF are one of a number of indices we follow to assess how we are performing and engaging support. They currently represent a small proportion of the funds AMF receives- approximately 5% - but the number and total value of recurring donations is growing. Here, we are publishing monthly totals for recurring donations so others can see the numbers and follow progress. 100% of these funds buy nets.

Explanation of recent 'sawtooth' progression of recurring donation totals
Since Aug 2017 there have been variations in the monthly USD total of recurring donations on a broadly three-month cycle due to more monthly donations being received in batches every three months i.e. three monthly donations received in one month rather than one donation in each of three months. This will remain until we have analysed and re-allocated the donations so that a smoother, clearer representation of the monthly path of recurring donations is shown.

From May 2019 we have not been able to identify and record a significant number of recurring donations (approximate value $100,000 per month) as individual donor details have not been shared with us, as they were previously, by an organisation transferring funds to us. If and when the former practice of sharing those details (it is not a data privacy issue) is restored, we will update the figures. Otherwise we will look at stripping out all prior donations for which we do not have continuity of data to present a graph with an accurate trend.

Data in the table below for the current and future months is updated daily. This allows those interested to follow our progress with recurring donations.
