Sydneysiders Against Malaria

Pre-swim:

At Bondi Icebergs which, in our humble opinion, is the best pool in the world, a team of swimmers, paddlers and the barely water safe, will gather on December 3 to swim (collectively) the length of the English Channel.

Why?

Firstly, because the cause is great.

Secondly, because the fund raising is efficient with ALL proceeds going to those that need it most.

Thirdly, because when I recently got involved with the team at Terrasphere USA in working to grow Artemisia plants in Australia--a Chinese herb that is used in producing artemisinin-based combination therapy, or ACT, and is hugely effective against new malaria strains -- I realised how (relatively) small the steps are to tackle this disease. more >>
