Over this coming rainy season here in Senegal (June-September), Peace Corps volunteers are trying to ensure that the villages where we work and live receive sufficient treated mosquito bednets to combat the prevalence of malaria. With treated mosquito nets, combined with classes on making mosquito repellent cream out of local tree leaves, we volunteers here in Senegal can make a significant impact this year on the number of people that contract malaria in our communities.
