Gateshead away by bike

Work of a madman, I am a Truro City fan and decided to travel to Gateshead, the longest away game in English football by bike! I had never mended a puncture nor cycled anything like these distances. What could possibly go wrong I thought?? Well "quite a lot if you don't know how to mend a puncture" said a guy in Staffordshire whose bike shop I happened to be cycling close to when the worst did happen! The distances cycled over 7 days were pretty crazy-and several days I ended up cycling late into the night, on two occasions reaching my hotel only by midnight.    more >>
