What is a Long-Lasting Insecticidal Net (LLIN)?

An LLIN is a mosquito net impregnated with insecticide.

The insecticide is cleverly bound within the fibres that make up the netting and is 'slow released' over a 4-5 year period. Hence 'long lasting'.

This is an emergency distribution in the wake of Hurricane Felix of 3,500 nets to protect 7,000 people in the Sahsa area of RAAN.

Four connected distributions in Ujumbila, Las Breñas, Wasminona and Okowas will be integrated with the ongoing emergency assistance being offered by PCI.
