So you might know I'm doing a PhD in a subject that's closely related to malaria and since the School was entering a team to this worlwide swimathon for malaria I thought I should take part - the money I raise will do a lot more good, a lot more quickly than me playing around with pipettes and test tubes.

Malaria is pretty nasty and it's even nastier if you happen to be under 5 - around 3000 African children die each day because of the infection, not to mention a fair few adults as well.    more >>
