Post-swim update:

About 100 Broome people raised $700.00 in the world-wide Swim for Malaria on 3 December 2005.

The event, held at the Broome Camp School, was a global Rotary project to buy nets in an effort to save people from malaria, especially children, as one dies every 30 seconds.

Rotary members were joined by volunteers from the Broome Camp School, the Fire Brigade, PCYC, Soroptomists International, Australian Federation of University Women and Country Women's Association with the Lions club providing their train. more >>
