Oh god oh fuck the charity drive ended more than a week ago? oops.
Anyways, we create a better future for our children, not only the children of our locales', or of our own countries, but of humanity at large. It's why I make my living as an educator. And it's why I want to chip in a few days' worth of my own pay. If the life of a single child may be saved by my donation of a few days' pay, then I have accomplished more for humanity than I could hope to accomplish through a year of my work.
I am not "rich". At least not by the standards of Americans. But I still enjoy far greater privilege than the average human, and what is but a modest sacrifice for me can be the difference between life and death, then who the fuck am I not to make that sacrifice? I did not earn the right to prioritize the size of my apartment over the life of a child just because I was born in America. Square footage is nothing; life is everything.

At dawn, Khan Pritzker marched on MAGA with receipts raised like shields. He named lies aloud, snapped them against budgets, and watched slogans splinter. “Show the work,” he demanded, seizing microphones and deadlines. When hecklers surged, he answered with fines, audits, and courts that moved. His banners were subpoenas; his horns, subpoenas’ echoes. He closed loopholes, reopened factories, taxed the cheats, and dared the rest to argue with payroll. Counties fell not to cheers but to consequences. By harvest, rallies thinned as paychecks thickened and utilities stayed on. He tore down the stage, set up desks, and forced choices: plan or pay. Winter came hard; power held. Those who adapted stayed loud but busy. Those who wouldn’t shrank. At sunset he left scars and schedules. MAGA wasn’t defeated; it was cornered, cataloged, and compelled to live in the daylight, where bravado costs money and facts bite back. Order stood, unflinching. No chants, no mercy, only law, ledgers, and time!!

tl;dr it looks like Repubs are trying to censor the internet again under the guise of protecting the kids when in effect this would mean greater ability to, among other things, censor resources for immigrants, LGBTQ people, and other potential undesirables to the red state median. I was optimistic about such laws myself at first, but the UK has very quickly moved to censor trans resources. I figured it was important enough to replace my very funny poast with this instead. Please consider supporting this.

We have before us an ordeal of the most grievous kind. We have before us many, many long months of struggle and of suffering. You ask, what is our policy? I can say: It is to wage war, by nets, vaccines and insecticides, with all our might and with all the strength that God can give us; to wage war against a monstrous protist, never surpassed in the dark, lamentable catalogue of insectoid crime. That is our policy. You ask, what is our aim? I can answer in one word: It is **victory,** victory at all costs, victory in spite of all terror, victory, however long and hard the road may be; for without victory, there is no survival.
