The Ben Bernanke flair should be removed because Ben Bernanke caused the great recession in 2008 with tight monetary policy, he should have lowered interest rates sooner. There was no housing bubble(there was and remains a housing shortage caused mainly by zoning and NIMBYs), this isn't to same banks needed more regulation(they probably did), however much of the recession could have been avoided with looser monetary policy. You should read Scott Sumner(a hero among some of the subreddit's moderators) who talks about this along with Kevin Erdmann who has a great book on it. 2. Too many of you are idiots on healthcare policy and think a public option would actually be better than a single payer system which according to the non partisan CBO would save around 12% in national healthcare expenditures.
