An LLIN is a mosquito net impregnated with insecticide.

The insecticide is cleverly bound within the fibres that make up the netting and is 'slow released' over a 4-5 year period. Hence 'long lasting'.

3,000 nets will be distributed in the canton (district) of Pesside to achieve universal coverage of all sleeping spaces in ten villages/areas covering a population of some 6,000. 500 nets will be distributed in the nearby village of Kante to achieve the same.
