An LLIN is a mosquito net impregnated with insecticide.

The insecticide is cleverly bound within the fibres that make up the netting and is 'slow released' over a 4-5 year period. Hence 'long lasting'.

4,000 nets will be distributed in two related distributions in Sukadana, West Kalimantan to achieve blanket coverage of approximatley 8,000 people. Sukadana is a high risk malaria area in Indonesia with malaria one of the primary reasons for visits to local health clinics.
