AMF's Funding Gap

AMF's funding horizon is three years. This page explains the size of the gaps for commitments that need to be made in this period.

This page shows AMF's immediate funding gap i.e. the funding we could put to work immediately to protect people when they sleep at night to save lives and prevent illness from malaria. The longer it takes us to raise these funds, the longer people may stay unprotected or may not be protected at all.

Immediate funding gap: $144.41m

Why every $2 net matters

1. Funds in hand
able to be committed
$154.76m
- 2. Committed
(under contract)
$100.32m
= 3. Available to be committed
$54.44m

- 4. AMF approved programmes seeking funding
$198.85m
= 5. Immediate funding gap
$144.41m

As there is an immediate funding gap, funds received are put to work immediately. Each donation is allocated to a specific net distribution and that information shared with the donor, along with the exact number of nets bought and an estimate of the number of people protected. The donor is able to follow, via a personal weblink, the progress of their nets from manufacture, through shipping and in-country transport, to distribution.
